DMQ Trained Person

DMQ are delighted to announce that the trained person qualification will now be awarded on successful completion of DSC1, rather than DSC2. As part of the qualification, candidates must view an approved video covering practical deer carcass inspection, which is required for safe handling of deer carcasses in accordance with the standard set by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The qualification entitles deer stalkers to legally sell carcasses to Approved Game Handling Establishments (AGHEs), provided that an appropriate tag is attached and signed by a trained person.

If you were awarded your DSC1 qualification after April 2021 and have not completed DSC2 or gained the Trained Person qualification separately, you are eligible for a free upgrade to trained person status.

Simply watch one of the videos below and complete the declaration with your details. An updated certificate will then be sent to you free of charge.
